Clearpay is a payment service that allows you to make purchases instantly and pay for them in 4 automatic interest-free instalments, taken every 2 weeks. Late fees apply if payments are missed. Please use Clearpay responsibly.
The service is provided by Clearpay Finance Ltd. Clearpay is credit that is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Simply shop on downtonhome.com and proceed to checkout as normal. Select Clearpay as your payment method and you will be directed to the Clearpay website to register or log in and provide your payment details (Visa, Mastercard or Amex). Once approved, complete your order as usual.
Clearpay is available across the full Downton Home catalogue including furniture, lighting, home décor, soft furnishings, mirrors, wall art, artificial flowers and outdoor living. Simply add any item to your basket and select Clearpay at checkout.
Clearpay is available to permanent UK residents aged 18 and over (excluding Channel Islands) with a UK billing address. Customers with international billing addresses are not eligible. Additional eligibility criteria apply. See Clearpay Terms of Service for full details.
Your order total is split into 4 equal instalments, payable every fortnight. The exact amounts and payment dates will be confirmed before you complete your purchase. You can make early payments at any time by logging into your Clearpay account. You can also manage all your payments easily via the free Clearpay app, available on iOS and Android.
If you think you may miss a payment, please contact Clearpay directly as soon as possible. Missing a payment will immediately prevent further purchases with Clearpay. You will have until 11 pm the following day before a late fee of £6 applies, with a further £6 if still unpaid after 7 days.
For orders under £24, total late fees are capped at £6. For orders of £24 or over, fees will not exceed 25% of the order total or £36, whichever is lower.
Unpaid debt may be passed to a debt collection agency, and this may affect your ability to use Clearpay in future. Please see Clearpay Terms of Service for further details. Only use Clearpay if you are confident that you can meet the repayment schedule.

Returns follow our standard returns process. Refunds are sent from Downton Home back to Clearpay, who will then adjust your payment plan accordingly. Any future instalments may be cancelled, and payments already made may be refunded to your original payment card.
Please continue making all scheduled payments until your return has been received and processed by Downton Home. You can manage everything by logging into your Clearpay account.
Yes. You may also use a Downton Home gift card, a promotional code, or a discount code alongside Clearpay to pay for your purchase.
