Finished entirely in matt black, this version of Alvaro is a floor lamp with a no-nonsense, utilitarian edge. The metal is left in a deep, light-absorbing black that emphasises line and proportion, giving it the feel of a well-made workshop or studio light brought into the home. It arrives as a complete lamp.

Its 160 cm height and compact 35 x 30 cm footprint make it easy to place beside a desk, reading chair or sofa end, and it suits loft-style rooms, monochrome schemes and spaces with exposed timber or brick alike. A single E27 bulb is required (not included), and a UK plug is fitted. Matching Alvaro pendants are available in matt black. It is equally at home in a study, where its clear, practical lines feel entirely right.
