Elva is a floor lamp base in metal with a glossy shiny cream finish and an oval footprint, a combination that feels sleek yet soft. The high-sheen surface picks up reflections and light from around the room, giving the cream a luminous, porcelain-like quality, and the oval form lends it a gentle, flowing presence.
At 155 cm tall with a 36 x 20 cm footprint, it stands comfortably beside a sofa or in a bedroom corner without dominating floor space, and at just over 8 kg it is pleasingly stable. Add a crisp white drum or a soft pleated shade (sold separately) to finish it. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 25 W, not included, and comes with a UK plug. A shiny sand version is also available.
