Medina glows like a jar of honey held up to the sun. This floor lamp pairs amber glass with gold, so the light that passes through it is warmed to a rich, golden tone, while the gold detailing adds a polished, decorative edge. The colour has a pleasingly retro warmth, reminiscent of seventies glassware, but the overall effect is refined rather than kitsch.

At 160 cm tall on a slim Ø30 cm footprint, it slips easily into a living room corner, beside a bed or along a landing. It accepts one E27 bulb of up to 25 W (not included); a low, warm-white bulb suits the amber glass best. A UK plug is fitted. It partners beautifully with walnut, rust velvet, cream bouclé and brass, and the Medina range includes a matching table lamp and pendants.
