Daxton is a glass pillar in a warm brown tint, shaped as a tall column on a 30 cm square footprint. The coloured glass gives the piece depth and a gentle glow as light passes across it, so it feels richer and more decorative than a painted plinth. Weighing 16.5 kg, it also has a reassuringly substantial weight. The square section keeps the outline simple, so attention stays on the colour of the glass.
Standing 80 cm tall, it brings a vase, bowl or small sculpture up to a comfortable viewing height in a living room or hallway. Tinted brown glass sits beautifully with walnut, caramel leather and brass, and adds a subtle seventies note to modern schemes. It is also available in smoke, and in 40 cm and 100 cm heights.
