Smoke-tinted glass gives this Daxton pillar a cool, softly shadowed depth, a little like looking into dark crystal. The column rises 80 cm from a 30 cm square footprint, its clean edges leaving the colour of the glass to do all the talking. It weighs 18.7 kg and has a weighty, quality feel that belies its slim outline. The tint is subtle enough to read as a neutral, so it will not compete with colourful objects placed on top.
Smoke grey is at ease in monochrome and stone-coloured rooms, and partners well with chrome, black metal and marble. Use it to display a lamp, vase or object in a living room or hallway, or place two side by side for symmetry either side of a console. A brown glass version and 40 cm and 100 cm heights complete the range.
